Joby GP1-D1EN Gorillapod Flexible Tripod (Grey)

I still can't believe that this thing is real! And I'm blown away by the quality of the tripod. The 'legs' are stiff enought that it doesn't fall out of shape as it holds the camera. Each little grey ring around the ball-like pieces are rubberized to help it grip onto objects. I have been able to mount my Canon SD600 and hold one 'foot' of the tripod while it remains in the shape I bent it into. The leg didn't change shape or sag at all. I've had it on top of my LCD, hung it from a doorway, sitting on top of a lamp... I think the legs are long enough and the feet are 'grippy' enough to mount it to the side of a bowling ball! The clip on top lets you mount and dismount the camera quite easily and without hassle. The only problem I could see is that with the mounting clip attached to the camera I can't put the camera in the fitted Canon carrying case that I have for the SD600. Well, it fits with it on, but very snug. I can't stress how much I love this little tripod!! Get one; you won't be disappointed!

Just returned from a 2 week trip to Turkey where I was able to take some unbelievable pictures with my digital pocket camera thanks to this amazing gadget. Holds camera on anything (railings, rock outcroppings, etc.) and can even hold it for vertical format pictures. Allowed me to take pictures of me and my girlfriend that would have been impossible otherwise. Allowed me to take time lapse pictures that could only be taken with a tripod in places where other pocket tripods wouldn't work and normal size ones aren't allowed. All this and it fits in your pocket. I'm telling all my friends, and getting my Dad one for Christmas. A must have.

Vista Explorer 60-Inch Lightweight Tripod with Tripod Bag

I purchased this tripod to use with my Canon Rebel XSi. This is the first tripod I've ever owned and I'm must say that I have been incredibly pleased with the product thus far (I've owned it for two months now). I've only used the tripod indoors at this point in time, but have had nothing but positive things to say about it. The tripod seems very sturdy and I really appreciate all the different heights and angles I can use this tripod at. It's a great investment and an essential tool, in my opinion, in getting a crisp, clear shot. I consider this product invaluable and am very happy with my purchase! I expect this tripod to last quite a while. The price is fantastic for such a great, lightweight product.

i love the tripod- and wanted to add something to the reviews- for vids, you can put some lubricating oil(not wd40!) in the joints, and i added a little rubber, where the vertical crank has an opening- to slightly give it a tiny bit of room to slide around- now the movement is perfectly smooth in both directions- even tiny movements. i love the tripod now! good luck!
